St. Joseph--Services for Mrs. Herma Archer Crowder, 78, former St. Joseph resident, were to be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Freese Funeral Home with Rev. William Schoville of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial was to be in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Mayview.

Mrs. Crowder died at 10:20p.m. Oct. 5 in Mercy Hospital. She had been in poor health for 3 years and lived in a Champaign nursing home.

Born Feb. 11, 1886 at Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Crowder was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Marlowe. She was married to L. Cameron of Mr. Vernon, who died many years ago. A son from this marriage also preceded her in death.

She married Charles H. Archer of St. Joseph in 1911. He died July 17, 1964. In 1958 she was married to Roy D. Crowder of Wood River.

Mrs. Crowder leaves her husband of Wood River; a son, Charles M. Archer of Champaign; a daughter, Miss Bette J. Archer of Danville, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Married Arthur G. Cameron on October 5, 1903.

Married Charles Harvey Archer August 1911.

Married Roy D. Crowder in 1958.

She operated a College student boarding house in Champaign, Illinois.
