Lulu M. Hunter, 88, Bluford, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday at Chesterfield Manor Nursing Home in Ballwin, MO.

She was born February 26, 1896, in Jefferson County, a daughter of William L. and Rosella (Rogers) Marlow. She
married James Louis Hunter on August 16, 1924, he preceded her in dealth.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, James W. Hunter and wife Patricia of Mr. Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Jean) Shelton of Brentwood, Mo; six grandchildren, Francis Justice and Elizabeth McAlexander of Mt. Vernon, Carolyn Tyrl, Jim Shelton and Susan Shelton of St. Louis and Bob Shelton of Tusla, Okla.; four great grandchildren, and a brother Hall Marlow of Mt. Vernon.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters.

She was a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 66.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Bluford.
