Funeral services for William Lincoln Marlow, 80, who died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at his home 7 1/2 miles east of Mt. Vernon, will be held at Oakdale Church Wednesday at 11 a.m.

He was born November 28, 1861 in Jefferson County and spent his entire lifetime as a resident of the county. He was a farmer.

The town of Marlow east of Mt. Vernon was named for his father.

Mr. Marlow was married to Rosella Rogers on August 3, 1881. To this union 12 children were born, six of whom survive. They are Frederick Marlow of Rockford, Mrs. Herma Archer of Champaign, William of Masury, Ohio, Bernard of Champaign, Mrs. Cecile Fisher of Lincoln, IL and Mrs. Lulu Hunter of Mt. Vernon.

His first wife died January 30, 1903. In April, 1905 he was united in marriage with Victoria Hunt. She and their three children survive. The children are Henry of Huntley, IL, Mrs. Josephine Stratton of Mr. Vernon and Hall Marlow of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
