Voy was the son of Emil L. & Grace C. Andereasen Andersen (yes they are almost the same)
He worked as a famer and and was a 1st year college student when he enlisted July 21, 1942
T.Sgt Andersen was killed in an accident in New Guinea he and two others of his group were hit by a airplane and killed instanley
His body was returned to the USA in June of 1948

VOY G.ANDERSON (the paper spelled last name)

Tremonton: June 28 - The body of Voy G. Anderson, 23 arrived in Tremonton Tuesday for military services and burial. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Emil L. Anderson. He was killed in New Guinea when struck by an airplane while in the line of duty.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 1pm at Bear River City Cemetery, friends may call at the family home from 7 - 9pm Wednesday and Thursday from 10am until time of service.
He was born Sept. 21, 1921. He entered the service July 6 1942 and was killed Oct 17, 1944. He was a graduate of Bear River high school as a member of the class of 1939.
He is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. June Edmunds Ogden, Mrs. Jerry Christensen Bear River City, Theo Anderson Danish LDS miission, Stanley, Florence, Phyllis, Verl, Lillian, Erma, Lynn Anderson, Tremonton, also two grandfathers Casper Anderson Brigham City, Hans Anderson of Denmark.
