He was born June 5, 1920 in Evans, Utah, a son of Emil L. and Cleophia Andreason Andersen.
He married Ann Bernice Anderson. March 3, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was reared and educated in Evans and Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Seminary.
He was a World War ll Army /eteran, stationed in Tennessee, Kentucky, France and Germany as a Technical Sargeant in charge of communications.
He farmed and worked tor Pet Milk for 20 years. He worked as an agent for The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States and was a member of the Equitable Hall of Fame and as a member of The Million Dollar Round Table.
He was a High Priest in the Tremonton 5th Ward. He had served in the past as a Sunday School Superintendent, President of the Young Men, both ward and Stake, Bishop's Counselor, Bishop in the 5th Ward for 7 years, served two Stake missions and was the Stake Mission president. He and His wife were Stake and Ward Dance Directors and he had served a Mission with her in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Mission. He was recently sustained a member of the Tremonton South Stake High Council.
Survivors include his wife of Tremonton; two sons and four daughters; Ron L. Andersen, Sacramento, Calif.; Marlon D. Andersen, So. Jordan; Mrs. Scott (Glenna) Maughan and Mrs. Jeff (Myrna) Kent both bf Tremonton; Mrs. Rick (Anita) Badgett, Sheridan, Wyoming; Mrs. Walter (Lana) Egan, Holly Springs, North Carolina; 20 grandchildren; his Father, Emil L. Andersen, Brigham City; three brothers and four sisters; Theo Andersen, Rockford, ldaho; Verl Andersen, San Juan Capistrano, California; Lynn Andersen, Orem; Mrs. Gordon (Phyllis) Holmgren, Bear River City; Mrs. Neal (Florence) Hall, St. George; Mrs. Newell (Erma) Poulsen. San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Alan (Lillian) Jensen, Brigham City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother; Voy; and two sisters, June and Elna.
Funeral Services will be conducted, Monday, August 28, 1989 in the Tremonton 2nd and 5th Ward Chapel at 12:00 noon with Bishop Dale W. Christiansen, officiating.
Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary, 111 N. 1st E., Tremonton Sunday from 6 to 8 pm and at the Mortuary Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Honor Guard.
