Emil Laurids Peter Anderen,97, died Thursday, April 2, 1992, in Brigham City, of causes incident to age.

He was born July 21, 1894 in Kappendrup, Odense, Denmark, a son of Hans and Maren Kirstine Larsen Andenen. He married Grace Cleophia Andreasen, July 12, 1919 in Olympia Wash.; the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, March 15, 1935. She died August 23, 1971.

Mr. Andersen was reared and educated in Denmark and came of America in 1915. He resided in the Tremonton area from that time forth. He owned and operated a farm on the Iowa Sting Road and was a packer and shipper at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement.

He served in the Army during World War I and was a member of the American Legion.

He was a High Priest in the Tremonton 3rd LDS Ward. He and his wife served a mission to the Northwest.

Surviving are 3 sons Theo. D. Andersen, Rockford, Idaho; Verl W. Andersen, San Clemente, Calif.; Lynn E. Andersen, Orem; 4 daughters, Mn. Neal (Florence) Hall, St. George; Mrs. Gordon (Phyllis) Holmgren, Bear River City; Mrs. Allen (Lillian) Jensen, Brigham City; Mrs. Newell (Erma) Poulsen, San Jose, Calif .; 12 grandchildren, 117 geat grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 1 sister, Mrs. Karen Jensen, Odense, Denmark.

Preceding him in death were 3 sons, Stanley, Voy, Reed; 2 daughters, June, Elna; 6 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a nephew whom he raised as his own.

Funeral services were Monday, April 6, in the Tremonton 3rd and 8th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Raymond N. Hansen, officiating.

Burial in the Bear River City Cemetery where military honors were accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard.
