Obituary Sep. 1963

Mrs. Margaret Etta Folkers, 80, of Anamosa died Saturday Sept. 7 1963 at Stoecker Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Rev. LaVerne Beener conducted the services. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery, rural Anamosa. She was born Oct. 10, 1882 at Scotch Grove, the daughter of Garrett and Anna Rieken-Siebels. She was married to Fred W. Folkers, Dec. 23, 1909, who preceded her in death. During their married life they farmed near Amber, since 1941. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred Dirks of Anamosa; 2 sons, Carl of Anamosa and Lawrence of Olin; one sister, Mrs. Ben Wroblewski of Central City; 5 brothers, Will and Hank Siebels of Anamosa; George Siebels of Amber; Rhinehart and J. Henry Siebels of Monticello; and 2 grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one son George.
