Lenora Taylor Papworth, 88, died in Portland Oregon, February 26, 1986 of causes incident to old age.
Funeral services were held in Portland, Ore., March 3, 1986, interment in Rose City Cemetery in Portland.
Nora was born June 28, 1897 in Mapleton, Franklin County, Idaho to Franklin D. and Priscilla Merrill Taylor, the fourth child in a family of 12 children. She was married to Steven Mack Papworth, Sept 12, 1917 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of four children, Mack Papworth, Portland, Ore., Norma Bookmiller (deceased), Dennis Papworth, Springville, Utah and Betty Anderson of Gilbert, Arizl
Nora lived in Afton with her parents, while Steven served in World War I and their first child were born here. They lived and worked in Logan, Ogden, Salt Lake City and Provo. In 1947 they moved to Portland where Steven owned and operated his own meat market. Nora and Steve were active member of the LDS Church serving in the various organizations. They also served a two-year stake mission in Portland.
She is survived by three children, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister and two brothers, Marie Creamer and Delbert Taylor of Boise and Vernal Taylor of Afton.
