Name on death certificate is RUEY ABERNATHY.

NOTE: Bollinger County Cemetery book "Gone, But Not Forgotte" has death date 27/Apr/1909. The Shelton Cemetery census has death as 1934.

Mrs. Rhua Abernathy, 84 years old, died Monday at the City Hospital in Saint Louis. She was born March 1, 1859 near Lutesville, and had resided in the county the greater part of her life.
Formerly Rhua Eaker, she was married J.W. Abernathy, who died four years ago, when the couple lived in Lutesville.
For the past three years, she has resided with her daughter, Mrs. Homer Jones, in St. Louis.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Roy Gaither of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Perry Shell of Grassy, Mo.; and Mrs. Jones of St. Louis; one son, George Abernathy of Marble Hill, and one brother Sheridan Eaker of Hiram; 27 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The body was brought to Lutesville Monday to the Baker Funeral Home, where she remained until time for services. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Cane Creek Church, conducted by Rev. Willie Liley and Rev. Willie Eaker. Burial was in Shelton Cemetery.
