William Walter Abernathy, aged 39, of Hahn died Monday in the Veterans Hospital at Jefferson Barracks. He was recently treated for nervous trouble; death was from pneumonia.
He was an ex-service man.
Mr. Abernathy is survived by his wife and two small children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Abernathy; and two brothers and sisters.
Funeral service was conducted Wednesday, January 20, at the Palmore Church, the Rev. G.T. Gaither conducting services. Interment was in the Shelton Cemetery on Cane Creek.
