Mrs. Mae Hamlin, 530 E. Prairie, Vicksburg, passed away Mon morning. Mrs. Herring was born Feb 4, 1880, in Archbold, OH, the daughter of James and Laura Beaty Ely and formerly resided in Kalamazoo. She was married to Robert Hamlin, who passed away Sep 1942. In Jan of 1948, she was married to Frank Herring, who survives. Surviving besides the husband are: one son, William Hamlin; one daughter, Mrs. Opal Allison, both of Kalamazoo; 4 sisters, Mrs. Emma Bush of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Bertha Stuller of Pullman, Mrs. Hazel Wauchek and Mrs. Minda Green of South Haven; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Hamlin and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Ellard. Services will be held Thu at 1:30, Rev. Charles Hulbert officiating. Interment in Stevenson Cemetery, Kibbey.
