Miss Jewel Blanton, age 91, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.F.H.Blanton and Ma Francis Blanton ; sisters, Helen Blanton, Ruth Glaze, Jeanne Blanton Williams ; brothers, Wallace Reid Blanton, Jennings Blanton , Glenn Blanton , Dwight Blanton, and Dan Blanton.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, in Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, in GA; and her beloved fourteen nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Miss Blanton was born July 11, 1920 in Caroleen, NC and lived in Atlanta, GA since 1928. She was a retired payroll clerk from the Atlanta Board of Education with thirty years of service. She was a former member of Macon Drive Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. She remained single to care for her mother.

She was an avid gardener and loved her pets. She was very generous to the Lord's work and had time to share her Faith with others. One of Jewel's favorite charities was Calvary Children's Home, Powder Springs, GA.
