William JENNINGS was the eldest son of William Franklin Hester & Mamie Blaine Frances Blanton.
The family had moved to Atlanta, GA from Caroleen, NC back in 1928. Jennings and his brother, Glenn Francis Blanton(one year younger) were working together on a delivery truck in Atlanta. Jennings somehow fell out of the truck and was run over by the moving delivery truck. His accident and death occurred just two days after his 17th birthday.
His body was taken back to Cool Springs Cemetery, Forest City, Rutherford County, North Carolina where his infant sister Helen Loureen Blanton, infant brother Wallace Reid Blanton, grandfather James Perry Francis and grandmother Roxanna Louise Digh Francis are buried (name according to E Blanton's records and the tombstone).
Jennings never married.
