GARRETT — Edward M. Shutt, 88, died Monday at 1:25 p.m. in Betz Nursing Home, Auburn.

He was a retired Keyser Township farmer and previously lived on County Road 56 near Garrett. He retired in 1965 from Warner Gear in Auburn with 20 years of service. He was member of the Full Gospel Business Macs Fellowship International.

Mr. Shutt was born Oct. 1, 1903, in Woodburn to the late Scudder and Mary Agnes (Shoudel) Shutt.

He married Charlotte Woodcock on Feb. 18, 1930, in Garrett, and she preceded him in death April 25, 1992.

Surviving are four sons, LeRoy of Arlington, Texas, Lewis of Detroit, Mich., Robert of Edgerton, Ohio, and James of Georgetown, Pa.; three daughters, Beverly McCrae of New Castle, Mary Ann Warstler of Churubusco, and Martha Freed of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grand-children. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. in Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Services will be Thursday at 11 am. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronal Bowman officiating Burial will be in Cedar Chapel Cemetery near Garrett.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Children First Center of Auburn.
