Mrs. Bertha Johanning, 71, widow of the late Otto Johanning, passed away at her home in the town of Sheboygan Falls Wednesday afternoon after a years illness. The daughter of Frederick and Sophia Stoelting was born on Jan. 19, 1872, in town Herman. Her marriage to Otto Johanning was solemnized on May 20, 1897, after which the couple resided in town Sheboygan Falls. Mrs. Johanning was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the Saron Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Survivors and three children, Mrs. Walter Braun, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Edwin Kratzap, Sheboygan, and Henry, on the homestead; three grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters; Herman Stoelting, ?????, Mrs. Pauline Blattzerste, ?????, August Stoelting, ?????, Otto, Gust, and Adolph, Kiel, and Mrs. Ida Blattzerste and Mrs. Henry Stieghorst, Storm Lake, Iowa. Her husband died on Sept. 15, 1930 and one brother also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth, and at Saron Evang. and Reformed Church, town of Sheboygan Falls, the Rev. Henry Vriesen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
