Herman Stoelting, 87, of the Village of Franklin died Sunday evening in a Sheboygan hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, with the Rev. Robert H. Opperman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Oct. 3, 1874, near the Village of Franklin, son of the Iate Frederick and Sophia Martin Stoelting. He married Lydia Johanning Dec. 1, 1904, in the Town of Herman and the family farmed in the area 14 years before moving to the Village of Franklin.
He was a church member all of his life and a member of the consistory 14 years. The couple observed its golden wedding anniversary in 1954.
His wife preceded him in death in October of 1960.
Immediate survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Six brothers and four sisters pre ceded him in death.
