Johann (went by John? or Henry?) Heinrich Spach was the eldest of thirteen known children of Jacob Spach (1768-1856) and Sarah Tesch Spach (1772-1844) who married on 31 Dec 1790 in North Carolina.

John spent his youth in Stokes (now Forsyth) and Rowan (now Davidson) Counties, North Carolina; in the vincinity of the Moravian community of Friedberg. After marrying, it is believed that he and his family lived at Friedland, in present day Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. John's wife has a grave marker at Friedland Moravian Graveyard. It is strongly believed that John is buried there also, though no grave marker appears to exist for him. Does anyone have any ifnormation on this?

John married to Elizabeth Seitz/Sides (1795-1869) 19 Apr 1818 at Friedland, Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. John and Elizabeth were the parents of five known children, namely:

1. Israel Spach (1819-young)
2. Philip Spach/Spaugh (1821-1878)
3. Aaron Spach (1823-1823)
4. Sarah Spach (1826-1826)
5. baby girl (Beata) Spach (1827-1827)
