Sarah Tesch (later became Tesh) was the twelfth of thirteen known children of Henrich Peter Tesch (1733-1804) and Anna Margaretha Jaeger Tesch (1731-1805), who married c1754 in presumably Pennsylvania.

Sarah married Jacob Spach (1768-1856) on 31 Dec 1790 in North Carolina. Most of their children morphed the surname Spach to Spaugh in the second half of the 1800's.
Jacob was a farmer and the couple spent their entire married lives in the vicinity of the Moravian community of Friedberg, then on the border of Stokes and Rowan (now Forsyth and Davidson) Counties, North Carolina. Sarah and Jacob were the parents of thirteen known children, namely:

1. Johann (John) Heinrich Spach (1791-1834)
2. Elizabeth Spach Butner (1792-1878)
3. Jacob Spach (???-1794)
4. Sarah spach Rothrock (1795-1866)
5. Johannes (John) Spach (1797-1868)
6. David Charles Spach (1799-1872)
7. Charles Benjamin Spach (1801-1859)
8. Christian Spach (1803-1885)
9. Daniel Spach/Spaugh (1805-1882)
10. Dorothea Spach Bauer (1808-1871)
11. Rebecca Spach Sowers (c1810-a1850)
12. Benjamin Spach (1813-1871)
13. Eliza Spach (1815-1889)

I have identified 56 grandchildren thus far. Forty-three of these 56 grandchildren have memorials on Find-A-Grave.

We are very fortunate to have links to Sarah's parents, husband, all thirteen of her known children and six of her twelve known siblings as included below.
