Helen S. Burgess, only daughter of John and Sibil Burgess, died at her home in Sun Prairie, WI Dec. 22, aged 27 years and 4 months. Helen was a Christian. She confessed to her Savior in February, 1880, while a student in Butler University and was baptized into Christ by her uncle, O. A. Burgess. During seven months of suffering, she uttered no word of complaint, but patiently and cheerfully awaited the hour of her departure, her faith growing stronger and her hope brighter to the end. In a letter written a short time before her death, are these words; "I know in whom I trust." She was ready for her home on high.
