Cora was the daughter of Rev James "Sing" Richardson Jr and Sadie Walker Richardson. She was educated in the Houston County School System. She was a member of Houston Mt Zion Baptist Church in Bonaire, Georgia where she served on the Usher Board and served as the board's President for 15 years. She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Lodge.
She was married to Ben Milton on March 5,1944. They had 8 children. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sons; Rayfield Milton and Ben Edward Milton.

4 Daughters: Thelma Williams, Carolyn Allen, Patricia Canion(Thomas), and Teresa Taylor(Edgar).
2 Sons: Willie Milton(Bernice) and James Milton.
1 Sister: Essie Lee Johnson.
2 Daughters-In-Law: Mary Milton and Carrie Milton.
25 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
Homegoing services were held Saturday, March 14,2009 at 1pm in the Sanctuary of Houston Mt Zion Baptist Church in Bonaire, Georgia with Rev Nathainel Jackson officiating.
