Mrs. Hicks received her schooling at Mt. Vernon and Sidney. She taught school at Sidney before she married Mr. Epperson. She was a member of Central Christian Church, the Christian Woman's Fellowship and the Keep-At-It Class of the church. Her hobbies were writing poetry and reading the Bible. She loved people especially children. Surviving is a son, James L. Epperson of Covington, Indiana; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Rice Moore of Danville; a brother Lilbert V. Ross of Catlin; a sister, Mrs. Harlan (Opie) Stevens of Catlin; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Vic, four brothers and two half sisters.
Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Pape Memorial Home with the Rev. Robert N. Story officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the funeral home."
