Sidney, Ill., Feb. 11.—Mrs. Bert Peters, 46, died at her home, three miles southeast of Sidney at 3:45 o’clock this morning of a complication of diseases. She had been critically ill six weeks. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Sidney Christian church, with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Peters’ maiden name was Mabel Ross. She was born in Platte Center, Kas., Nov. 2, 1884. The family moved to Mt. Vernon, Ill., when she was 6 years old. She was married Nov. 14, 1901, and has lived in this vicinity and near St. Joseph every since. She has been a member of the Christian church of Homer 27 years.
Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Lahne and Mrs. Leona Lewis, of Sidell; two sons, Ray, of Homer, and Rolly, at home; three grandchildren; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Ross; two half-sisters and four half-brothers, all of Danville, Mrs. Millie Epperson, Mrs. Opal Stevens, Gilbert Ross, Forrest Ross, Raymond Ross and Cecil Ross. Two sons died in infancy.
