Children of GW and Malinda were: Henry G, Wm C, Mary Jane, Maletha Ann, Susan G, Jacob Rankin, Leb Thadeus, and Issac Wellons Parks.
GW and Malinda were very active in the Parks Crossroads Church. GW was named as one of three Deacons at the Chartering of the church in 1880. His name appeared many times thereafter as a delegate to Conference. In 1881 GW and Malinda donated the land next to the church for use as a cemetery.
One son, WM B Parks died in the service to his country. He is buried at the Parks/Stout cemetery on the old Parks homestead.
GW performed the marriage of his brother, Henry, to Malinda's sister, Susan. Henry and Susan moved to Weakley Co., TN and named there first son George Washington Parks in honor of his brother.
After the death of GW's mother, Anna, George and Malinda took in his father, Thomas, who was in need of care and supervision.
