The accounting was found in the family bible of Henry Paul Black:
On Friday 7 April Aunt Millie Rains was attacked by a bull and knocked against a fence with such force that she recieved mortal internal injury, the vicious brute continuing to gore his helpless victim for sometime. She not being able to escape finally sunk down where she lay until a negro man having heard her cries ran to her rescue and conveyed her to her house. The old lady lived alone and if the Negro family, which lived on the adjoining plantation, had not heard her screams she might have been killed on the spot, as the brute was still threatening to renew the attack on his prostrate vicitm. She suffered the most excruciating pain until the morning of the 13th when her spirit took its flight and was wafted home to the God who gave it. How blessed to thus fall asleep in Jesus? She was 77 years old.

Millie was the second to be buried in the Parks Crossroads Cemetery.
