Son of John F. Lueck and Louisa Koenig Lueck
Oscar John Lueck, 81, of Jamestown, retired farmer, died Monday at Central Dakota Nursing Home after having been ill health for some time.
Born Feb. 16, 1893, in Spiritwood, Mr. Lueck was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lueck.
He attended school in Spiritwood and also at Jamestown College Academy. Mr. Lueck farmed in Bloom Township all of his life until his retirement in 1960.
His marriage to Esther Leslie took place July 25, 1918, in Jamestown. They moved to Jamestown to make their home in 1958.
Mr. Lueck was a member of the First United Methodist Church; a member of the Jamestown Masonic Bodies, El Zagel Shrine, and B.P.O. Elks 995.
He is survived by his wife, four children, Leslie Lueck, rural Jamestown; Mrs. Darrell Campbell (Elaine), Lodi, Calif.; Mrs. Elmer Roesler (Phyllis), La Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. John Reeck (Arlene), of Barstow, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Alice Lueck, Mrs. C.H.
