Funeral Services for the late John F. Lueck, who died at his home here Thursday, were held from the Evangelical church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. H. Bruns had been charge of the funeral and preached a sermon from James 4:14. He was assisted by Rev. Wm. Gains of Kidder S. Dak., a former pastor and a dear friend of the Lueck family. Interment was made at the Highland Home cemetery.
Biography
John F. Lueck was born in Germany March 6, 1854 and died May 17, 1928. He had been sick about six weeks. His illness was considered rather grave from the beginning. He had the very best of care. The youngest daughter, Alice, being a graduate nurse was able give such care is able to render. In spite of all that loving care and the best medical attention could do he passed into the great beyond at nine o'clock on above mentioned date, at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 6 days.
Mr. Lueck came to America with his parents in 1865 at the age of eleven years. They settled in Wisconsin where he resided until he came to Stutsman county, North Dakota, in 1879. He was united in marriage to Louisa Koenig, March 23, 1883. This union was blessed with nine children, one of whom died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his loss hos sorrowing wife, five sons, three daughters and fourteen grandchildren as well as many friends who look forward to a happy reunion in the world to come. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community.
