Mrs. Louisa Koenig Lueck, widow of the late John F. Lueck, Stutsman county pioneer, died Saturday morning at her home, 224 Second Avenue North, after an illness of about two years, most of which she was unable to leave her home. Death was due to heart trouble and complications.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical church, Rev. C.F. Strutz, pastor, officiating and choosing for his text John 14, 4-15 and Isaiah 40, 1-9. Rock of Ages and Lead Kindly Light were sung by Miss Esther Meier, Mrs. Rose Bader, Alvin Struz and Edward Hoffman. Miss Meier and Mrs. Bader sang No Disappointment in Heaven; Rev. L. R. Burgum, pastor of the Methodist church sang City Four Square and the quartet gave Down The Valley One by One, and Nearer My God To Thee. Miss Elaine Strutz was accompanist.

Burial was in Highland Home cemetery, the pallbearers being John Elhart, John Klaudt, John M. Johnson, Chris Fluetsch, Ira Fandray and A.H.Sherman.

Mrs. Lueck is survived by three daughters and five sons, Mrs. Adeline Drawz, Miss Alice Lueck, and Oscar Lueck of Jamestown; Arthur and Elmer Lueck, Spiritwood; Clinton Lueck, Minneapolis, Minn.; Arnold Lueck, Edmunds, N.D., and Mrs. Amanda Meier, Valley City, N.D.. Two children passed away in infancy. Mrs. Lueck leaves 15 grandchildren; and five brothers, Philip Koenig, Sauk Center, Minn., John and Adam Koenig, Galesville, Wis., and William Koenig, Waupaca, Wis.. The last named was the only relative unable to attend the funeral. Others here for the rites were Kate Giles, and Linda Clark, both of St. Paul, Minn., a cousin and niece, respectively, of the deceased.

Mr. Lueck died on May 17, 1928. He was born in Trittlefitz, Prussia in 1854 and came to the United States in 1865, residing in Trempealeau county in Wisconsin, until he came to Spiritwood vicinity where he took a homestead in 1879. Mrs. Lueck was born May 6, 1860 at Glencoe, Wis., where she remained until her marriage to Mr. Lueck on March 23, 1882when she came to Spiritwood and the family resided on the homestead until 1908 when they moved to Jamestown.
