Alice Lueck

The funeral for Alice C. Lueck, 93, Jamestown, will be a 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with the Rev. Don Preston officiating. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown. She died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1992, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Alice Lueck was born Nov. 8, 1899, near Spiritwood, the daughter of John F. and Louisa (Koenig) Lueck. She moved in 1907 to Jamestown, where she attended school. She graduated from the Bismark Hospital of Nursing Sept. 22, 1922, and worked at the Bismark Hospital as a night supervisor and private duty nurse. She worked a third floor charge nurse at the Jamestown Hospital from 1938 to 1946. She was charge nurse of the Mandan Hospital until 1949. She was the 3-11 supervisor at the Jamestown Hospital from 1950 to 1965, when she retired. She was a member of Guilders, Eastern Star, AARP, Dakota Daughters of the Pioneers, Senior Citizens, American Nursing and Central Valley Distict Nursing Association.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Local survivors are Leslie Lueck, Jamestown, and John and Kenneth Lueck, both of Spiritwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters.
