She was a member of the Bramwell United Methodist Church and the Johnson Circle at that church.
Born May 1, 1897, in Franklin County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Grant and Priscilla Reed Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pose Bennett and one son, Posie Kenneth Bennett.
She is survived by three sons, Bill Bennett of South Boston, Va., Richard Bennett of Clearwater, Fl., and Paul Bennett of Colonial Heights, Va.; five daughters, Mrs. Edith McBride of Covel, Mrs. Charlie (Jewell) Larkin and Mrs. Ateo (Kay) Pais of Princeton, W.V., Mrs. Paul (Carol Jean) McGinnis of Virginia Beach, Va.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Forrest Dunn and Mrs. Lillian Owens of Waynesboro, Va., Mrs. C.C. Hatter of Duhring and Mrs. Pearl Goins of Bramwell and five brothers, George, Tom, Frank, Forrest, and Don Allen of Bramwell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Bramwell United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Spinella officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews; flowerbears were member of Johnson Circle of the church.
The body will be taken to the residence in Bramwell today at 4 p.m. and to the church one hour prior to the service.
