1866-1867 the Elial Babcock family with Nellie Billings and step-father Henry Truman Babcock and mother Tilla V. Pope, Billings, Babcock moved to Denver Twp., Newaygo Co., MI., with Henry's parents Elial and Lydia C. (Dake) Babcock and his siblings.
Frederick Billings and Henry Truman Babcock were in same unit in Wisconsin during the Civil War and possibly could have known each other. Frederick Billings
remarried and ended up in in hospital for insane in Salem, WI.

On 22 Nov. 1880 Nellie B. Billings married Milton Britton in Hesperia, Newaygo Co., MI. She was his 2nd wife. His first wife Anna Cogswell.

When Milton Britton was 24 yrs. old he left Grimsby, Ontario, Canada and moved to Dayton Twp.,Newaygo, MI. He was s/o Lyman Britton and Mary Elmira Patterson.
He married 1st wife Anna Cogswell 1873 Newaygo Co., MI. They had two infants that died young then in 1876 Anna passed away as a very young woman.
