Foster b. 10 Apr. 1869 Oquawka,IL. When father died in 1879 Oquawka, IL., Ellen Foster brought the family to Ionia, MI., where her mother and sisters living. Frank Foster was a saloon keeper by occupation in White Cloud and Grand Rapids, MI. Also worked on the railroads.
Elfa and Frank Foster had two children:
Glen Dewey Foster died at 9yrs old from Diphtheria, and buried in White Cloud Cemetery. Also, Frank Freeman Foster buried in White Cloud Cemetery.

After WWII Elfa Monks joined her daughter Vivian Foster Teague and husband Virgil C. Teague and family in San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., CA. She passed away in San Bernardino, CA. She was taken by train back to Michigan and buried in Fairplains Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI., next to 2/h Herbert Monks.
