"Jim Shuffield Died in Brady December 16" Jim Shuffield, 72, native of Milam county, died at his home in Brady on Sunday, December 16. Funeral services were held in Brady, Monday, December 19 at the First Methodist Church with interment in the Brady cemetery. Mr. Shuffield, one of the large number of boys of the family, was reared in the Maysfield community in Milam county. He left this county years ago and had made his home in Brady where he was engaged in farming and ranching and was a successful businessman. Surviving are five sons, Enoch, Buford, Thaggard and Oxsheer of Brady and Albert Shuffield of Austin; four daughters, Mrs. Milton Osborne [nee: Murl Hazel Shuffield], Mrs. Rufus Boeker [nee: Cassie Bonnell Shuffield] and Miss Lexie Shuffield of Brady, and Mrs. Cage Terry [nee: Mabel Novella Shuffield] of Cameron. Five brothers survive, M. B. Shuffield, Henry Shuffield, Walker Shuffield and Oscar Shuffield all of Cameron. Seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
