Funeral services were conducted Jan. 27, 1979 at 11 a.m. from St. Frederick's Catholic Church, Verndale, for Leona Cameron, 78, Aldrich. Father Eugene Lemm officiated and interment will be in the Mother of Sorrows cemetery near Aldrich.
Casketbearers were Clarence Bramer, John Freidli, Orin Pederson, Maurice Lynch, Lyle Waldahl and William Nelson.
She passed away Jan. 24 at Staples United District Hospital.
Left to mourn her passing are her four sons, Loren, Staples; Jerome, Odgensburg, N.Y.; Donald, Aldrich; David, Spriing Lake Park; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Theresa) Wutzke, Verndale; Mrs. Herb (Pearl) Domeno, Hawthorne, Calif.; three sisters Helen Mallory and Ethel Johnson, both of Two Harbors; Lillian Baetz, St. Paul; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Alex Cameron; four children and three brothers.
She was born Dec. 31, 1900 to parents Harry and Pearl Shelley Dibble at Hurley, Wis., and married Alex Cameron in 1923.
She was an active member of the Birthday Club, the Aldrich VFW Auxillary, Royal Neighbors and the Christian Mothers Society.
