Loren "Lefty" Cameron, 87, Staples, died Monday, August 4, 2014, at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, August 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Father Joe Korf officiating.

Arrangements were by Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples.

Loren was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Wadena County to Alexander and Leona (Dibble) Cameron. He attended District 4 country school, finished grade school at Aldrich district 19/79 joint, graduated from Staples High School and then attended St. Cloud State.

Loren married Orry Ringler Martin Sept. 9, 1967, in Staples. He worked for the railroad for 23 years on the 6th Street Tower, and for Ralph Martin as a bartender, then later opened Lefty's Bar which he owned and operated for many years. He was a member of the Lions Club and Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Orry; siblings, Harriet, James, Kenneth, Frank, Theresa and Jerome.
