Alex Cameron, a long time resident of the Aldrich community, died at the Staples Municipal hospital February 13, he was 89.
The Reverend Eugene Lemm officiated at the Funeral Mass, which was recited at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at St. Frederick's Catholic church of Verndale. Interment was in the Mother of Sorrows cemetery, near Aldrich.
Alex Cameron was born June 12, 1882, in Aitkin county, the son of the late Daniel and Mary McDonald Cameron.
On September 18, 1923, he was united in marriage to Leona C. Dibble at Aldrich. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Aldrich community. Mr. Cameron was engaged in farming for many years and upon taking is retirement, they then resided in the Village of Aldrich.
Left to mourn his passing are his widow, Leona of Aldrich; four sons, Loren of Staples; Donald of Aldrich; Jerome of Ogdensburg, New York and David of Spring Lake Park; two daughters, Mrs. Theresa Wutzke of Wadena, Mrs. Pearl Domeno of Hawthorne, California; and 26 grandchildren.
He was preceded by one daughter and three sons.
Serving as casketbearers were Leroy Seefeldt, Clarence Bremer, Jack Friedli, Maurice Pluth, Robert Doll and Edward Lynch.
