Late resident of 930 Columbia Street NE. Wednesday, April 18, 1984 in a Salem hospital. Survivors include: daughters, Beulah F. Brown, Salem, Joyce E. Brown, Salem, Fauneil R. Harrison, Sheridan, Wyoming, Vonda L. Fletcher, Bothell, Washington; sons, Myron A. Powell, Boise, Idaho, Bernard F. Powell, Woodburn, Ore., Dale D. Powell, Salem; sisters, Sylvia Bodeman, Wauneta, Nebraska, Gladys Silvrants, Grant, Nebraska; brothers, George Terry, Grant, Nebraska, John Terry, Denver, Colorado, Sylvester Terry, Salem; twenty one grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2:00 p.m. at Barrick Chapel, 205 Church Street SE. Minister Al M. Craig officiating. Vault interment will be at Belcrest Memorial Park. Friends who wish may contribute to the Oregon Heart Association, in care of the mortuary. Casket will be open to friends Friday, noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Added by Jeri Herbert: Hazel was the third of nine children born to Alva Ansel & Louella I. Dinnel Terry on Jan. 9, 1897 in Holton, Kansas. She married Charles Franklin Powell on Feb. 17, 1915 in Imperial, Nebraska. To this union were born 7 children: Myron Ancil, Beulah Fern, Fauneil Rose, Bernard Franklin, Joyce Elaine, Vonda Lea & Dale Dwight. All of their children were born south of Elsie, in Chase County, Nebraska. They moved to Salem in 1946.
