Obituary in The State, Columbia, SC, 14 Jun 1952: Funeral services for Robert Lee Amick, 79, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation by the Pastor, Dr. Wynne C. Boliek. He died at his home, 4003 Lamar St., at 4:30 this morning after being indeclining health for several years. Burial will be in Macedonia Lutheran Church Cemetery, near Chapin. Mr. Amick was born in the Macedonia section of Lexington County and was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. D . D. Price and Mrs. Samuel L. Koon of Columbia and Mrs. Kenneth W. Mohr of Frankfurt, Germany; four sons, L. Monroe Amick, Claude G. Amick, R. Hebert Amick, and R. Ray Amick all of Columbia; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be five grandsons, Murray P rice, Wesley Price, Marvin Amick, John W. Raines and A. W. Granzow, and one nephew, Maynardy Huffstetler. They will meet at Talbert Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. The body will be at the funeral home until the hour of the service.
