Funeral services for Moody Meadows, 73, of Piney View, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
He died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital following a long illness.
Born in Mercer county, Nov. 29, 1896, he was the son of the late Samuel and Susie Gravely Meadows.
A retired machinist for The New River Co., he was a member of the Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 and was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leola Farley Meadows; three daughters, Mrs. Betty J. Passmore, White Plains, Md., Mrs. Patricia Tomasine, Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Mrs. Peggy L. Delinocci, Athens; seven sons, Jack, Ronald and Michael E. Meadows, all of Piney View, Clyde of La Grange, Ill., James (Pete) and Roger Meadows both of Oaklawn, Ill and Samuel of Grandy, Conn.
