James "Pete" Meadows, 82, of Piney View, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31st, 2023. At the time of his passing, Pete was surrounded by his beloved family.
Pete was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church. He was devote to his family and after retiring from Consolidated Coal Co., he became an avid golfer. He also enjoyed deer hunting and lending a helping hand helping to anyone who needed help.
Pete will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 62 ¾ years, Mary Etta Meadows; a son, James Lee Meadows and wife Bette of North Carolina, daughters, Debbie Withrow of Clarksburg, WV, and Donna Meadows of North Carolina; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and 3 sisters, all of Virginia.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Moody and Leola Meadows, and by his six brothers.
Funeral services for Pete will be on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 1PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
