Mrs. Savanna Dubs, 89, Of Hampstead RD, Dies
Hampstead – Mrs. Savanna Wildasin Dubs, 89, widow of Tobias Henry Dubs, died at 9 o'clock last evening at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Dubs, Hampstead RD 2, after an illness of nine years.
Mrs. Dubs resided with her son and daughter-in-law for the past 14 years and prior to that time had lived in the Lineboro area for about 50 years. She belonged to Lineboro United Church of Christ.
Surviving are seven children, Robert W. Dubs, Lineboro; Emory E. Dubs, New Freedom; Henry T. Dubs, Brodbeck; Mrs. Raymond Rohrbaugh, Glen Rock RD 1; Mrs. Sterling Gobrecht, Hanover RD 1; John L. Dubs, with whom she lived, and Mrs. Kenneth Sultzbaugh, Reisterstown, Md.
She also leaves 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Horatio Wildasin, York, and Daniel Wildasin, Millers RD 1, and two sisters, Mrs. John Thomas, Sr., Glen Rock RD 3, and Mrs. John Greenplate, Glen Rock RD 1.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, by her pastor, Rev. Harvey G. Schlichter. Interment will be in the Lineboro Cemetery.
