Edwin Vox Kocher died at his home in Pine Grove Mills at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday evening, August 25, 1936. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.
He was born at Little Furnace, Huntingdon county, a son of Henry and Mary (Thompson) Kocher, the date of his birth being February 12, 1868. At the time of his death he was aged 68 years, six months and 14 days. He married Anna Everhart on December 1, 1898, who survives his death, and to this union were born the following who survive: John Kocher, of Pennsylvania Furnace, Guy Kocher, of Spruce Creek, Edwin Kocher, of Spruce Creek, Glenn Kocher, of Bolivar, N.Y., and Carl Kocher, Pine Grove Mills.
In addition to the members of his family, Mr. Kocher is also survived by the following brother and sisters: H. J. Kocher, Juniata, Mrs. Chal [Bessie A.] Davis, Warriors Mark, Mrs. Elmer Davis, Petersburg, Mrs. Harriet Cornelius, Juniata, and Mrs. Samuel [Jessie Blanche] Schell, of Williamsport.
Mr. Kocher had followed the occupation of farming during his lifetime up to the last six years of his life. He then sold his farm to his sons, Guy and Edwin, and purchased a property near Pine Grove Mills, where he died.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, August 28, 1936, at 2:30 p.m. o'clock at Graysville Presbyterian church. Interment in the Graysville cemetery.
