Mrs. Bessie (Kocher) Davis of Warriors Mark died at her home late Friday night, June 22, 1956. She had been in failing health for the past four years.
Mrs. Davis was born at Manor Hill on June 21, 1870, a daughter of Henry and Mary (Thompson) Kocher. She was united in marriage to Chalmer Davis on September 6, 1898, at Huntingdon Furnace.
The deceased was a member of Warriors Mark Methodist Church and of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of the Jobel Court. She had been a resident of the Warriors Mark vicinity for the past 43 years.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Oleta (Davis) Cox and Mrs. Orlee (Davis) Cox, both of Warriors Mark; one son, Carl Davis, at home; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Sam [Jessie
Blanche] Schell of Williamsport.
Funeral services will be at the Davis home in Warriors Mark at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25. The Rev. Elwood L. Bair will officiate and interment will be at the Burkett Cemetery. Friends will be received at the late home after 2 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the services.
