Mrs. Mary Eleanor Darby of 8360 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, widow of Joseph N. Darby, formerly of Dawsonville, died at Washington Sanitorium and Hospital, Takoma Park, Monday, aged 70 years.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Kenneth (Evalyn) Allnutt, Poolesville; Mrs. Allen (Reno) Penn, Clinton; Mrs. Ferdinand (Ethel) Hermann, Mrs. Clyde (Lutie) Culp, Joseph N. Darby, Jr., and Gordon Darby, all of Silver Spring. One brother, Thomas Chiswell and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Sarah) [Wootton], Silver Spring, also survive.
The body rests at the funeral home in Barnesville where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
