"Osseo - Ray D. Beckman, 71 of S. Lake Pleasant Rd., Osseo died Tuesday (June 11, 1991) in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. Born July 10, 1919 in Paulding, Ohio; he was the son of Fred and Ida Adair Beckman.
Mr. Beckman retired in 1980 from the street Department in Hillsdale. He was a United States Army veteran during World War II, was a member of the Hillsdale American Legion Post 53; member of the Hillsdale VFW; and a member of the Hillsdale Disabled American Veterans.
Sept 3, 1971 he married the former Isebel Flowers. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Shirley Chamberlain, Albion, and Lois Ulig, Boston; son Ray Jr. of Hillsdale; six step daughters. . .
Preceding him in death were one brother and one stepdaughter.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Eagle Funeral Home, Hudson with the Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Burial will be in Waldron Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. today at the Funeral Home. Graveside Military rights will be conducted by the Hillsdale American Legion Post 53."
