"Reading - Mrs. Ida M. Beckman 61 of 571 Dimmers Rd. passed away at the Hillsdale Community Health Center, where she had been a patient for four weeks, this morning.
Mrs. Beckman had lived in Reading for 30 years, having moved from Jonesville where she had lived for eight years.
She was born in Dague, Ohio on November 4, 1896 to Samuel and Iva (Redd) Adair.
She married Fred Beckman on December 31, 1913. He survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Faye Swaney of Reading and Mrs. Edna Edgerton of Battle Creek; four sons, Otto, Glenn and Ray of Reading and Rev. Carl of Comstock Park; three brothers Garrett Adair of Continal, Ohio; Galin Adair of Middlepoint, Ohio and Floyd Adair of Montpelier, Ohio and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Reading Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Beckman officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset View Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Hylliard Funeral Chapel, Reading."
