Otto Beckman
READING -- Otto Beckman, of 10160 W. Reading Road, Reading, died Monday (May 8, 1989) in Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, following surgery. He was 74.
Born in Latty, Ohio, Oct. 22, 1914, he was the son of Fred and Ida Adair Beckman.
Having Been an area resident for over 40 years, he was a retired employee of the Hillsdale County Road Cimmission; a member of the Reading United Methodist Church: and a member of the Plus 50 Sinior Citizen's Club.
On Feb. 8, 1945, he married the former Marjorie Beem, and she survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Steve (Janice) Simons, Hillsdale, Mrs. Anwer (Karis) Ali, Oceanside, Calif., and Karen Beckman, Adrain; two sisters, Faye Swaney, Reading, and Edna Edgerton, Battle Creek; three brothers, Glenn of Reading, Carl of Grand Rapids, and Ray of Osseo; three grand children, and two great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one brother, one grandson, and one great grandson.
The funeral serivce is at 1 p.m. Thrusday, at the St. John-White Funeral Home, Reading, with the Rev. Harold Simon officiating.
