GALENA - Funeral Mass for Galena resident Thomas "Pat" Beadle, 68, who died Sunday in Galena-Stauss Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with arrangements by Furlong Funeral Chapel, 227 N. Main St.

GALENA, Ill. - Thomas "Pat" Beadle, 68, of 120 Meeker St., Galena, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Galena-Stauss Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Galena, with the Rev. Daniel Tranel officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Galena. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where there will be a scripture wake service at 7 p.m.
Mr. Beadle worked at the Tri-State and Eagle Pitcher Mines for many years, and in the later years, he did construction work.
He was born on April 17, 1931, in Galena, son of William and Wilhemina (Heller) Beadle. He married Irene Menegas on May 30, 1958, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Galena.
He was a loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was an avid fan of high school basketball and the New York Yankees. He was a member of St. Michael's Church and served as usher for many years. He was also a member of the Galena Elks. He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are five daughters, Kali (Brian) Trevarthen, Laurie (Michael) Sproule and Leigh Ann (David) Eaton, all of Galena, Jayne VandeMerkt, of Naperville, and Catherine (Bradley) Lenschow, of DeKalb; a son, Patrick (Martha) Beadle, of Galena; seven grandchildren, Anna and Nicholas Sproule, Lucas and Carmen Trevarthen, and William, Alexandra and Jack VandeMerkt; and four sisters, Frances Murphy and Joanne Foecking, both of Galena, Catherine Seelye, of Harvard, and Lucille Rusboldt, of Michigan City, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Joan (Donald) Beadle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Beadle; a son-in-law, Scott VandeMerkt; two brothers, William and Donald Beadle; and four sisters, Helen Petitgoue, Florence Bautsch, Vera Wienen and Virginia Armstrong.
