She was born July 2, 1918, in Galena, to William and Wilhelmina (Heller) Beadle. She married Nathan L. Seelye on Aug. 31, 1944, in Galena.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for Howard Rotavator Company for many years and later cooked for the Head Start Program in Harvard. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church since she came to Harvard in 1944.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Seelye of Harvard and Joseph (Nancy) Seelye of Cary; a daughter, Mary (Thomas) Bentley of Rockford; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Joanne Foecking of Galena; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 2, 1979; a daugher Kathy Dewey; and four brothers and six sisters.
The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Saunders & amp; McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard. The Rev. Daniel E. Peters will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Harvard.
