"Last Summons Comes to Ex-Trustee A. N. DeRossett Last Wednesday at 1:15 p.m.///After a lingering illness of nearly five months, A. N. DeRossett died at his home from bowel and stomach trouble of long standing.///He passed away in the presence of his family and several relatives. Death came peacefully and quiet. He had been partially unconscious for several hours, but recognized his wife just before death came.///The remains were laid to rest by the Crossville Masonic lodge, of which he had long been an honored member. The funeral sermon was presented by the Rev. G. H. Post. The cofin was decorated with emblems of Masonry and the order of the Eastern Star...///In his youth, he attended Grassy Cove Academy, from there he went to Grant University in Athens, but was prevented from completing the full course by becoming a candidate for trustee to which he was elected for three successive terms.///He was admitted to the bar, but followed the profession in a limited way owing to his failing [health] which began four years ago...."
