Obituary in Chattanooga Times, Monday, July 17, 1939: "DeRossett - Zach, 64, died at his home, 1602 Chamberlain avenue, early Sunday morning. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Roy DeRossett of Chicago, and Thomas, of Chattanooga; four daughters, Mrs. T.N. Putnam, Charleston, S.C.,; Mrs. C.N. Burgess, Nashville; Mrs. L.W. Cobb and Louise DeRossett, Chattanooga; two brothers, Sampson DeRossett of Crossville, Tenn, and Millard DeRossett of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Bristow of Spring City, Tenn. Funeral services...will be held at National Funeral Home...this afternoon. Internment in Chattanooga Memorial Park...."
